Sierra Arts Gallery is located at 17 South Virginia Street, Reno, in the historic Riverside Building and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Viewing appointments are available Friday and Saturday, please call 775-329-2787 to make an appointment. We are closed on all major holidays. The mission of the gallery is to present a contemporary curated art experience, which will stimulate dialogue, discovery, and learning.
Our exhibitions run approximately 4 weeks and feature all contemporary artwork by burgeoning, mid career and established artists from around the country. Artist Receptions are held on the third Thursday of every month. Sierra Arts members are invited to meet the artist (s) and enjoy complimentary appetizers from Wild River Grille between 5 – 6 p.m. and we are open to the public from 6 – 7 p.m. We take submissions from artists locally and nationally during our Call For Artists. We also offer other programming including professional development workshops, live music and spoken word nights, and various art making classes for kids and adults.
