This is Paula Vogel’s daringly comic and heart-stirring theatrical eulogy to the brother she lost to AIDS. Winner of the Obie award, the author went on to win a Pulitzer Prize for her Play, How I Learned To Drive, which was coincidentally directed by Neace at Brüka in 2012. The play begins as Anna is diagnosed with terminal “Acquired Toilet Disease”. A first grade teacher from Baltimore, she embarks on a madcap trip through France, Germany, Holland and Austria with her beloved brother. She aims to taste all of life’s sensual pleasures; he wants her to undergo a whacky alternative medical cure in Austria. Writing this award winning play, Vogel employs all her brilliant creative tools—comedy, drama, music, her love of movies, art and literature—to come to terms with a profound personal tragedy.  Featuring Bradford Kai’ai’ai, Mary Bennett and Bryce Alexander Kiel.
