Veiled: New Work from Jennifer Valloric Opens Today

“The woven textiles center on the creation and instillation of woven panels referencing and recreating landscapes from my own memory. Murmurs of shelters are present within the instillations sitting somewhere between the utilitarian, the ornamental and a romantic’s sublime. It is through the creation of the semi-transparent panels that I am able to research, understand and reference a personal history and memory. In the end, the light, the instillation itself and the interactions between viewer and textile are fleeting.”

The exhibition runs through Oct. 27. A reception on Oct. 20, 5-7 p.m. will feature an opportunity to meet the artist, refreshments courtesy of Wild River Grille.
