Poetry Out Loud

The 2014-15 school year marks the 10th anniversary of the Poetry Out Loud program. Since 2005, nearly 2.5 million students from more than 7,300 high schools have participated in Poetry Out Loud. The 2015 National Finals will take place on April 28th and 29th at Lisner Auditorium on the George Washington University campus in Washington, DC.

Sierra Arts Foundation is the sponsor of the district competition which will be held at McKinley Arts and Culture Center on February 18th at 5 pm. Prior to that event, the 6 participating schools will hold their school-level competitions and 2 students from each school will advance to the district level.

The Nevada Arts Council will host the state final at the Sienna on Saturday, March 14th.
