One Day Only – Memorial Day Pop-Up noon – 2 p.m.

Rita Cannan Elementary School and Veterans Memorial STEM Academy are pleased to present a joint pop-up exhibition featuring student artwork at Sierra Arts Foundation.

This past year Cannan and Veterans were each given the unique opportunity to acquire a half-time art teacher who would work with classroom teachers to integrate art into the curriculum. Art teachers, Jaime Lynn Shafer and Elizabeth Brooks, have been reviewing classroom content and designing art lessons that help reinforce core knowledge while introducing art concepts and terminology to the students.
