Ms. Annie’s Art Class, Monthly

The Sierra Arts Gallery introduces Miss Annie’s Art Class for ages 6 and up in our gallery at 17 South Virginia Street, #120 in downtown Reno. The class will take place on the first Saturday of every month from 1-4pm and instruction will center around the current exhibition in the gallery. Instructor Annie McKissick will take children through many different projects using many different materials in a fun and exciting environment.

The first class on Saturday, June 1, will center around the Twinkie as an art medium based on the work of artist Nancy Peppin in her show “The Steampunk Machines of Cmdr. T.T. Kidd: Steam Twink”. Ms. Peppin will also make an appearance to share her experiences and insights on using Twinkies for art.

The class is free for Sierra Arts Foundation members and $5 per child for non-members. If you are not sure if you are a member or are interested in becoming one please contact Membership and Operations Associate Jennifer Guerra at 775-329-2787.
